Have lunch with a Federal Magistrate
The local chapter of the Federal Bar Association (FBA) is sponsoring a brown bag lunch with the Honorable Allen Kornblum, United States Magistrate Judge for the Northern District of Florida, Gainesville Division. During the lunch, the Judge will speak with local practitioners and law students about the basics of federal practice. This is a great opportunity to interact with a local federal judge and attorneys to learn about the inner workings of the federal court in Gainesville. The event was originally scheduled for Tuesday, March 3, 2009 but has been rescheduled to Wednesday, March 25, 2009 from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. It will be held in the Jury Assembly Room of the United States Courthouse, 401 SE First Avenue, Gainesville. Several students will be selected to attend this event with Kristen Bryant from Career Services. If you are interested in a federal judicial clerkship or federal practice, this is an ideal networking event for you. Email careers@law.ufl.edu indicating your class year and interest by Tuesday, March 17th at 5:00 p.m.
