Did you ever wonder how someone got that amazing summer opportunity? Make plans to join second and third year students talking about what they did during their 1L summer. Students will share what job strategies worked for them, how they secured the opportunities, and what advice they have.

Public Interested?

Join Three Rivers Legal Services Americorps Fellows Nery Alonso and UF Alum Hoa “Tee” Ho as they share their experiences pursuing a public interest career. Learn the inside scoop on what life is like working for a public interest agency. Have your questions answered as to whether this career path could be for you.

Volunteer Fair

Wednesday, 1/19, 10am-2pm, Schott Courtyard

Meet representatives from local pro bono and public interest organizations, including Three Rivers Legal Services, Community Legal Services of Mid-Florida, Association for Public Interest Law, and Teen Court. Hours donated to these organizations may qualify you for a pro bono certificate at graduation. The CCD will also be attending the fair promoting the Pro Bono and Community Service Projects.

Career Showcase

UF’s Career Resource Center will host Career Showcase January 25 and 26, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the Stephen C. O’Connell Center. Day one features non-technical fields like educations, sales, recreation and communications. Day two features technical fields like healthcare, medical and engineering. Federal Judicial Law Clerk Roundtable

Are you interested in a judicial clerkship? The North Central Florida Chapter of the Federal Bar Association is teaming up with the Center for Career Development to host the Federal Judicial Law Clerk Roundtable.

This event will provide law students interested in judicial clerkships the opportunity to learn from the experience and advice of four current federal judicial law clerks about the application process and different types of federal clerkships available.
