Small Firm Conference and Interview Program

Bidding for the Small Firm Interview Program in WESTON is now Closed!


You can still register for the General, Solo & Small Firm Section of the Florida Bar's annual conference on 4/1-2 in Weston, FL.


THE CONFERENCE

The conference runs from 9-7:30 on Friday, April 1st and from 9-2 on Saturday, April 2nd. Attending the Conference will introduce you to aspects of a smaller firm practice that will help you best prepare to make the transition. Topics include: To Create an Extraordinary Practice, You Need an Extraordinary Future, Leverage Your Marketing Dollar - Build Your Brand Through Social Media, specifically for law students: The Extraordinary New Associate: Landing and Keeping a Dream, and more! The Conference costs includes continental breakfasts, luncheons and a networking reception. UF Law students can attend the full conference for the discounted rate of $30. (the law student rate is $60.00 and UF Law is paying $30.00 of the registration fee). Last year, students and alumni who also attended the full day and one-half Conference enjoyed impromptu interviews by employers with immediate hiring needs that did not have time to register for the Interview Program. Students attending the Interview Program and/or the Conference are invited to attend the FREE law student session at 10:40am on Saturday, April 2, “The Extraordinary New Associate: Landing & Keeping a Dream Job” a panel discussion moderated by UF Law Assistant Dean Linda Calvert Hanson.

If students would like to register to stay at the Conference hotel, the deadline is March 17th. This is mainly for students wanting to attend the Conference since participants in the Interview Program will not find out about interview selections until March 22nd.
